Dottie grew up on a golf course outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where her father was a Golf Course Superintendent.  She played some golf as a child, but was inspired when her home course hosted a U.S.G.A. Women’s Open. 

She won her first amateur tournament by shooting 76-75 and continued to play amateur tournaments in Pennsylvania.  She came to Florida in the early 80’s to play golf in the winter and soon became a resident.

She played in several mini-tour events, i.e. L.P.G.A. Tour School and U.S. Open Qualifiers, but found her fit in the golf world when she started teaching.  She has held positions at three other clubs in the Bradenton - Sarasota area before landing at BCC five years ago.

Dottie’s outside interest include her church and anything Disney.
